I visited Brighton. And then I came back, 6 years later.
True, this might have some slight relation to the fact that my favorite Singaporean decided to reside here… initial stories of his wild gynecologist life, delivering babies into our world while wearing cowboy boots, his hair dipped into a green dye, and curing infected vaginas victimized by the locally popular, self-elected act of ‘space docking’ (google it if you’re brave enough), winning over my eternal – be it distant - friendship. But also Brighton itself didn’t fail to impress.
The city has an ample number of trump cards to play working in its favor: the idyllic beach-side location, an interesting culinary scene (in Britain for crying out loud!) and a vibrant cultural diversity. The latter possibly related to that one aspect that irreversibly won me over, shooting its arrow straight through my heart: the local art scene – boom, bull’s eye.
So let me stop wasting your time, and provide you with a clear and solid overview of Brighton’s currently hot and happening galleries, museums and street art locations.

Street Art
Art is made by people for people, expressing the purest form of humanity. In Brighton, what lives in the heart lives on the city walls, providing a constantly changing canvas of expression and creativity.
As motion and change are inherent to the nature of street art, it’s hard to keep up with exact locations. Some might pop up, some might be painted over… but expect to find some interesting works here (alphabetically):
